Sand Pine

Sand pine is a Florida and Alabama native evergreen conifer with a rounded to irregular crown and spreading, sometimes leaning branches. It is adapted to dry, strongly acidic sandy soils and contributes shelter and food to the Florida scrub ecosystem. ## Features Its paired needles are yellow-green, and its prickly seed cones are reddish brown.
