Hillside Creeper is a low, spreading Scotch pine selected for its ground-hugging habit and textured gray-green needles. It forms a broad evergreen carpet rather than an upright tree, with foliage that can take on yellow-green tones in winter. The American Conifer Society reports about 1 foot tall and 6–10 feet wide after ten years; a current nursery listing gives a 1–2 foot height and about 6 feet of width. Leave room for lateral growth. ## Growing conditions Plant in full sun and well-drained soil.
