Pazzaz™ Yellow Improved Purslane

Pazzaz™ Yellow Improved is a yellow-flowered Portulaca oleracea in Danziger’s PAZZAZ™ series. Danziger lists the exact Yellow Improved selection in its current series technical sheet and describes the series as a warm-season, semi-trailing group. ## Flowers and habit The [Danziger Pazzaz technical sheet](https://www.danzigeronline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Portulaca-Pazzaz-2026.pdf) names Pazzaz Yellow Improved and gives series guidance of 10–12 inches tall and 14–16 inches wide. Those dimensions are a range, not a single plant measurement. Danziger also describes the series for containers, hanging baskets, ground cover, and landscape use, with heat and drought tolerance and pollinator-friendly flowers. The [North Carolina Extension common purslane profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/portulaca-oleracea/) provides species context for Portulaca oleracea. ## Growing conditions Choose full sun and well-drained soil. Its spreading habit and summer color fit sunny pots, baskets, and ground-cover plantings. ## Maintenance Water while establishing, then avoid overwatering and allow excess water to drain.
