Create design onlineAbout Primo® 'Wild Rose' Coral Bells
Primo® ‘Wild Rose’ is a low, mounded coral bells with rosy-purple leaves and pronounced charcoal-gray veining. Dark burgundy stems rise above the 8–10-inch foliage mound and carry rosy-pink flowers; allow 18–20 inches for the plant’s spread. ## Seasonal interest
The colored foliage supplies the main display, with summer flowers adding a second layer above the mound. The breeder also identifies winter foliage interest, so the clump can contribute color after flowering.
## Growing conditions
The cultivar is listed for USDA zones 4–9 and for sun or shade, though part shade helps protect foliage from harsh afternoon conditions. Plant it in humus-rich soil that drains well; average moisture is recommended.
## Landscape use
Place it near a border front, along an edge, or in a container where the dark veining can be appreciated. Its compact habit also works in repeated mass plantings, and the rosy foliage contrasts well with green or silver leaves.
## Maintenance
Remove tattered leaves in early spring to tidy the clump. Proven Winners describes ‘Wild Rose’ as easy to maintain, salt tolerant, and attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
