Primlet® Purple Primula

Primlet® Purple is a compact Primula acaulis selection with scented purple blooms. PanAmerican Seed lists the plant for winter and early-spring flowering, describes its habit as mounded, and gives a height of 5–6 inches with a width of 5–7 inches. It is suited to small planters, mixed combinations and indoor display during the cool season. Its compact habit also suits bright indoor settings. ## Growing Conditions Grow in sun in a free-draining container mix. Keep moisture even during active growth and flowering, without leaving the pot standing in water. ## Maintenance Remove spent blooms to keep the plant neat and encourage a clean display. Check pots regularly for moisture and move them from hot, drying conditions while in flower.
