About Belle of Georgia Peach Tree

Belle of Georgia is a rounded, fast-growing peach tree valued for large, white-fleshed freestone fruit with a red cheek. Bright pink to red flowers open in spring, followed by fruit that ripens in late summer. ## Landscape use Plant this self-fertile cultivar in a sunny edible garden or home orchard. Allow room for its broad crown, and choose a well-drained site; the Arbor Day Foundation lists sandy soil and mature dimensions of about 8–25 feet high by 8–20 feet wide. Its fruit also attracts birds and squirrels, so protective netting may help as harvest approaches. ## Seasonal interest The spring flowers add color before leaves fill the canopy. The late-August harvest is useful for fresh eating and other kitchen uses. See the [Arbor Day Foundation cultivar profile](https://shop.arborday.org/nursery/belle-of-georgia-peach) and its [tree guide](https://shop.arborday.org/treeguide/352) for planting details. ## Maintenance Give the tree full sun and water deeply while it establishes. Keep the root zone free of competing weeds, maintain airflow through the canopy with appropriate pruning, and monitor developing fruit as it ripens.
