Create design onlineAbout Crimson Cascade Weeping Peach Tree
Crimson Cascade is a deciduous ornamental peach with a graceful weeping outline. The Royal Horticultural Society describes masses of double red flowers in early spring, followed by glossy dark burgundy foliage that changes to green-red in summer and yellow in autumn; its small fruit is poor quality.
## Garden Use
Use it as a flowering specimen where its cascading branches and seasonal foliage can be seen. The display is ornamental rather than a productive fruit crop.
## Growing Conditions
Grow in full sun in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. The RHS lists chalk, clay, loam, and sandy soils as suitable. Keep the young tree evenly watered while it establishes.
## Maintenance
Prune sparingly to preserve the weeping framework, removing dead or crossing branches as needed. Check the shape while the tree is young and make structural cuts when branches are easy to reach.
