Create design onlineAbout Polly Peach Tree
Polly White is a winter-hardy peach cultivar developed in Iowa, with reliable crops of sweet, medium-sized fruit. The fruit has white flesh and crimson-blushed white skin, and the tree is self-fruitful.
## Fruit and Season
Dave Wilson Nursery lists Polly for USDA zones 5–9, approximately 1,000 chill hours, and a mid-to-late-season harvest; its California harvest dates are regional estimates, not a universal calendar. The nursery describes both standard Lovell and semi-dwarf Citation rootstocks, so eventual size depends partly on the stock selected. See the [Polly White variety profile](https://www.wheretobuy.davewilson.com/node/384) and [Dave Wilson’s Polly product page](https://www.davewilson.com/nurseries/products/fruit-trees/peach-white/polly/).
## Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil, with adequate space for the chosen rootstock and canopy. A compatible pollinizer is not required for fruit set because this cultivar is self-fruitful.
## Maintenance
Water regularly while young trees establish and during dry spells. Prune during dormancy to keep a balanced, open framework, and thin a heavy crop where needed to reduce limb strain and maintain fruit quality.
