About Amanogawa Flowering Cherry

Prunus serrulata 'Amanogawa' is a striking, fastigiate deciduous tree, often called the Flagpole Cherry. It is celebrated for its columnar growth habit, making it an ideal choice for confined urban spaces, narrow borders, or lining driveways. In late spring, the tree is smothered in fragrant, semi-double, pale pink flowers. The foliage emerges with a coppery-bronze tint, matures to a lush green, and then transforms into vibrant shades of orange and red in autumn. It needs full sun and good drainage.
