About Palm (Pseudophoenix)

Pseudophoenix is an accepted genus of palms in the family Arecaceae, distributed from Florida through the Caribbean. Its several species differ in mature form and growing conditions, so a genus-level label cannot describe one universal palm shape, size, or climate range. ## Features The University of Florida IFAS profiles illustrate that diversity: P. sargentii is a slow-growing native of dry sandy or limestone habitats; P. lediniana has long pinnate leaves and a swollen trunk; and P. vinifera is larger and more robust. These are species-specific examples, not interchangeable care instructions. Use an exact species identification before selecting a site or estimating mature dimensions.
