*Pseudophoenix lediniana* is a medium-sized palm from southwestern Haiti, where Kew places it in a seasonally dry tropical biome. It carries long, graceful pinnate leaves above a smooth gray trunk that is noticeably swollen through the middle. [Kew Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/669304-1) confirms the accepted species and range, while [UF/IFAS](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/EP107) lists a mature height of 10–35 feet and recommends full sun.
## Landscape Use
Give the palm an open, sunny position where its crown and distinctive trunk can be seen. It is grown only in cultivation in the UF/IFAS South Florida guide, which also notes moderate salt tolerance. Its upright palm form suits a tropical specimen planting with enough clearance for the mature crown.
## Maintenance
Provide full sun and space for the eventual height. Water during establishment and follow local palm-growing advice for irrigation and nutrition; recommendations for this Haitian species are limited compared with common landscape palms.
