Create design onlineAbout Eversweet Pomegranate Tree
Eversweet is a pomegranate selection prized for very sweet, nearly seedless fruit with clear, non-staining juice. Its orange-red flowers and arching shrub form add ornamental interest as well as an edible harvest.
## Garden Use
The [Dave Wilson Nursery Eversweet profile](https://www.davewilson.com/nurseries/products/fruit-trees/pomegranate/eversweet/) describes an 8–10-foot plant that can be trained as a tree or espalier and gives USDA Zones 8–10. The [Fine Gardening cultivar profile](https://www.finegardening.com/article/growing-pomegranates-in-northern-california) also places ‘Eversweet’ in Zones 8–10 and notes sweet, soft-seeded fruit that ripens from late summer into fall. Spread and outline vary with training, so allow room for its arching branches or prune for a narrower form.
## Maintenance
Grow in full sun with well-drained soil. Water deeply during establishment and maintain more consistent moisture during dry spells and fruit development. Prune in late winter to remove crossing growth or train the plant to a small-tree or espalier form.
