Large green fruit ripens to greenish yellow. Anjou's are very sweet and juicy when ripe. Pick green mid-to end of September. Need to be stored refrigerated for 45 days, then taken out to ripen. Stores well up to 4 months. Self-pollinating but will produce more fruit if paired with another pear that blooms at the same time like Bartlett.
