About Red Bartlett Pear Tree

Red Bartlett is a red-skinned sport of Bartlett, retaining the familiar sweet pear flavor while adding color to the fruit. Its skin deepens from dark red toward bright red as the pears ripen. ## Fruit and pollination Fruit is reported to mature from late August into September, with juicy white flesh suited to fresh eating, baking, and canning. For reliable cropping, plant another compatible non-Asian pear nearby and choose a partner whose bloom overlaps in the local climate. ## Growing conditions Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Allow room for the upright canopy and fruiting branches, and follow local climate guidance when choosing a planting site. Water during establishment and fruit development, and harvest as the fruit reaches the locally appropriate stage.
