About Tawara™ Asian Pear

Discovered in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Upright, oval form with glossy green foliage produces white flowers in spring. Flowers produce medium to small dark tan to light brown fruit that tastes like a cross between and apple and pear with a crispy texture. Excellent for eating or canning. Ripens late August through September. Self pollinating but produces larger crops with pollination partners of Bosc, Bartlett or Seckel.
