Rainbow Rhythm® ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears’ is a midseason daylily with large raspberry-red flowers, a rosy-pink eye, a yellow throat, and a fine white edge. Fragrant blooms appear on 28-inch scapes above green, semi-evergreen foliage.
## Garden Use
The rich flower pattern works well in a sunny perennial border, a mass planting, or a large container where its 18–24-inch clump has room to fill out. The broad eye and contrasting throat give each bloom a strong focal point, while branched scapes carry flowers just above the leaves.
## Seasonal Display
Walters Gardens places this cultivar in midsummer and reports rebloom, so the display can return after the first flush when growing conditions support it. The [Walters Gardens profile](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HMBST) identifies its 28-inch height, 18–24-inch spread, zones 3–9, and full sun to part shade.
## Growing Conditions
Plant in well-drained soil and provide ample light for flowering. Water consistently while a new clump establishes; mature daylilies tolerate some dry periods, but perform best when soil does not remain parched.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flowers for a clean look and tidy old foliage in spring. Divide overcrowded clumps in early spring or just after bloom, following [University of Minnesota Extension guidance](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/daylilies).
