Magic™ Rose Ranunculus

Magic™ Rose is an upright, compact Persian buttercup selected for early spring flowering. Syngenta identifies the exact 70007134 selection as pink to rose, 4–6 inches tall and wide, suited to part sun or part shade, with a hardiness rating of 11a ([breeder product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70007134)). ## Placement Its small, tidy form fits a patio pot, window box, or the front of a cool-season bed. The breeder describes it as genetically compact and suitable for small containers, so it can provide a close-up flower display without taking over neighboring plants. Give it bright light with some protection from intense afternoon sun. ## Seasonal interest The Magic series flowers in early to mid-spring. Plant it where the layered rose-colored blooms can be seen from paths or seating; its compact size also makes it easy to group several pots for a concentrated display. The selection is sold as seed and is described by Syngenta as easy to produce without growth regulators. ## Maintenance Keep the growing mix evenly moist while the plant is actively growing, with drainage that prevents standing water. Remove spent flower stems to keep the display neat, and treat this tender selection as a cool-season annual outside its warm hardiness range.
