Currant Bush (Ribes)

Ribes is a diverse genus of deciduous shrubs encompassing both edible currants and ornamental flowering varieties. These plants typically feature palmately lobed leaves and a multi-stemmed, upright to spreading growth habit. In spring, they produce pendulous clusters of tubular flowers in shades of red, pink, yellow, or white, which are highly attractive to pollinators.
