Rockin'® Blue Suede Shoes Salvia

Rockin’® Blue Suede Shoes is an upright salvia hybrid with crisp blue flowers and contrasting black calyces over deep green foliage. It blooms through spring, summer, and fall and works as a tall accent in borders, containers, and mass plantings. ## Garden Use The source lists mature height of 30–40 inches and spread of 24–30 inches, with part sun to sun. It treats the selection as an annual except in frost-free areas, and lists USDA hardiness zones 9–11. Average water and average or poor soil are listed. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers; deer resistance, heat tolerance, and drought tolerance are also noted. Kew places Salvia in Lamiaceae.
