'Morden Centennial' is a hardy Parkland shrub rose introduced by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 1980. It bears clusters of lightly scented, medium-pink flowers and repeats its bloom through the season, with principal flushes in June and August to September. ## Garden Performance
The cultivar monograph gives a mature height of about 0.7–1.0 m, while Alberta trials recorded an average height of 110 cm and average spread of 100 cm; individual trial sites varied. These figures describe garden performance rather than a strict maximum. The Canadian cultivar guide reports survival in USDA zone 2, while regional trial results varied by location and winter conditions. ## Siting
Choose a well-drained location and leave space for an open shrub shape. The Alberta trial guide notes good resistance to powdery mildew and blackspot, but also reports winter-damaged stems that may need removal. Local winter exposure and snow cover affect how much stem dieback occurs.
## Maintenance
Remove spent blooms to encourage rebloom and improve appearance. In spring, prune winter-damaged stems back to healthy growth; avoid cutting healthy canes simply to force a particular size. Water at the root zone during dry weather and keep the soil draining freely.
