Rosa ‘Radrazz’ is the original red Knock Out® landscape rose: a compact, bushy shrub with red flowers that return from late spring until frost. Its glossy foliage and repeat bloom make it useful in sunny foundation plantings, mixed shrub borders, and grouped plantings where a long display is wanted.
### Size and siting
Allow roughly 3–4 feet in both height and width. Choose a site with at least six hours of sun and good air movement, and leave enough room for the mature mound rather than relying on frequent shearing. It is reported hardy in USDA zones 4–10, although local performance varies with climate.
### Flowers and foliage
The cherry-red flowers have a light, slightly spicy tea-rose fragrance. The shrub is naturally dense, with dark green leaves that may show burgundy tones in autumn. The [UF/IFAS fact sheet](https://blogs.ifas.ufl.edu/nassauco/2017/05/28/fact-sheet-knock-rose-radrazz/) identifies ‘Radrazz’, its 3–4-foot dimensions, and continuous bloom; [University of Illinois Extension](https://web.extension.illinois.edu/hortanswers/plantdetail.cfm?PlantID=651&PlantTypeID=4) describes recurrent flowering and spring renewal pruning.
## Maintenance
Water regularly while the shrub establishes, then adjust irrigation to rainfall and soil drainage. In early spring, remove old or weak canes and shorten growth as needed to keep the center open; spent flowers do not need routine removal.
