‘Triple Crown’ is a semi-erect, thornless blackberry with large, flavorful fruit. The harvest season varies by region: Nourse Farms lists early to mid-August in Massachusetts, while southeastern trials place it later. ## Growing conditions
Give the canes full sun and a well-drained bed; NC State recommends sandy loam soil and regular moisture for blackberries. Nourse lists zones 6–9 and recommends the fruit for fresh use, jams, baking, and freezing. Keep the row accessible and plan for support as the semi-erect canes grow. ## Harvest and training
Pick fruit when fully black and ripe. Regional temperature and growing conditions affect harvest dates and cultivar performance. Remove canes that have fruited after harvest, and tie or train new canes for easier picking.
## Maintenance
Keep the bed weeded and water during dry spells, especially while fruit is developing. Use clean pruning tools and remove old fruiting canes after harvest.
