About Vintage - Raspberry

Vintage is a primocane-fruiting red raspberry selected for large, bright-red berries with sweet flavor and excellent fresh quality. The patent identifies ‘Vintage’ as a distinct Rubus idaeus cultivar and records erect canes, medium vigor, and late-summer fruit. ## Growing Give it full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, with regular irrigation while berries develop. Vintage’s primocanes carry its first-year crop, extending the raspberry season later into summer. In Oregon State University trials, the cultivar produced large, firm, attractive fruit with outstanding flavor and was considered suitable for small farms and home gardens. Leave room for air circulation and keep canes accessible for picking. For a single late-season crop, cut primocanes down after harvest; where a second-year floricane crop is desired, retain selected healthy canes and prune according to their fruiting cycle.
