Second year canes produce tasty near-black fruits in summer. After harvesting, remove canes that produced fruit and leave best canes for next years fruit. Provide plenty of room and support for this almost thornless variety. Nearly 2" berries (actually classified as 'drupes') are perfect for eating fresh, baking and making jams or jellies. Delicious and juicy with fewer seeds than some varieties.
