‘Fuldaglut’ is a low, mat-forming stonecrop with succulent leaves that shift from green with reddish margins to bronze-red tones in cool weather. The Royal Horticultural Society describes semi-evergreen foliage and late-summer rose-pink flowers; a cultivar profile lists a 2–4 inch height, 10–12 inch spread, and USDA zones 2–9 ([RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/89136/sedum-spurium-fuldaglut/details), [Perennials.com](https://www.perennials.com/plants/sedum-spurium-fuldaglut.html)).
## Placement and seasonal interest
Use this creeping perennial along a sunny border edge, in a rock garden, gravel planting, or a container where its foliage and late-season flowers can be seen. It forms a low carpet rather than a tall clump, so place it where neighboring plants will not shade it out. A second specialist profile records a mature spread near 24 inches, showing that the mat can extend beyond the smaller spread listed above ([Promesse de Fleurs](https://www.promessedefleurs.ie/perennials/perennials-by-variety/sedum/sedum-spurium-fuldaglut-stonecrop.html)).
## Growing conditions
Choose full sun and free-draining soil. The RHS lists loam and sand and recommends a sheltered position in moderately fertile, well-drained soil; Perennials.com also lists dry, poor sites. Avoid winter waterlogging, and add gravel if a heavier bed needs better drainage.
## Maintenance
Routine pruning is not required. Divide established mats in spring or take softwood cuttings in early summer, as the RHS recommends. Trim only stems that cross the intended edge, and check containers after rain to make sure drainage holes remain clear.
