This mounded, medium-sized perennial is celebrated for its extremely ruffled green leaves featuring cream margins that widen as the plant matures. Its thick foliage offers excellent slug resistance, making it a durable choice for shade gardens. In midsummer, light lavender flowers bloom on purple scapes, attracting hummingbirds. Ideal for containers, borders, or mass plantings, it thrives in moist, well-drained, fertile soil under part to full shade conditions across zones 3 to 9.
