Create design onlineAbout Show Time™ Crabapple
Show Time™ is an upright flowering crabapple with pink spring flowers, dark green foliage with red tones as it emerges, and red fruit that can persist into fall and winter. Proven Winners lists it at about 25 feet tall and 15–20 feet wide, with hardiness in USDA Zones 4a–8b.
## Form and seasonal interest
The registered selection is Malus × ‘Shotizam’. Its upright crown works as a flowering specimen or as part of a larger landscape planting. Spring flowers attract bees and butterflies; later, red fruit contrasts with orange and red autumn foliage. The fruits can remain on the tree into winter, though wildlife and weather affect persistence.
## Site
Give the canopy full sun and room to mature in well-drained soil. The developer recommends slightly acidic soil with even moisture. The tree is described as having good resistance to several common crabapple diseases, but local disease pressure and growing conditions still matter. ## Maintenance
Water regularly through establishment, then during extended dry periods. In late winter, remove damaged or crossing branches and retain the natural upright outline. Clear fallen fruit where it collects on paving or patios.
