Silver Bullet® Wormwood

Silver Bullet® wormwood is a low-growing Artemisia stelleriana selection with finely cut silver foliage and a rounded, spreading form. It provides a cool-toned groundcover accent in sunny beds, borders, and mixed containers. ## Growing Conditions Grow it in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Proven Winners lists a mature height of 6–10 inches, a spread of 12–30 inches, and USDA Zones 5–9. The plant tolerates low water after establishment and is suited to the front of a planting where its low profile can soften edges without hiding neighboring plants. ## Seasonal Character Silver foliage is the main ornamental feature, with small white flowers adding a lighter accent. The [Proven Winners profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/artemisia/silver-bullet-wormwood-artemisia-stelleriana) describes its mounded habit, foliage, flower color, size, and landscape use. The profile also notes that deadheading is unnecessary and characterizes the plant as easy to maintain. ## Maintenance Use free-draining soil and avoid excessive irrigation. Remove damaged or overgrown stems to keep the mound in bounds. Allow room for the plant to broaden, and check its spread where it meets paths or smaller perennials.
