Create design onlineAbout Montego Mix Snapdragon
Montego Mix is Syngenta’s mixed-color F1 snapdragon selection in the dwarf, upright Montego series; “Mentego” appears to be a misspelling in the current catalog identity. Syngenta describes Montego as an early-flowering series for packs and small pots, with strong basal branches and blooms held just above the foliage.
## Flowers and use
The breeder’s catalog identifies Montego Mix among the series colors and describes a dwarf, upright spring-and-fall snapdragon for packs and small pots. It lists six to eight inches in height and eight to ten inches in width for the series. A university trial record independently refers to *Antirrhinum majus* ‘Montego Mix’ as a dwarf snapdragon. See the [Syngenta catalog](https://www.center-flowers.com/web/content/files/SYNGENTA-CATALOG.pdf) and [Michigan State trial report](https://www.plantmanagementnetwork.org/pub/trial/PDMR/volume3/abstracts/OT11.asp).
## Siting
Use a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. The [RHS snapdragon profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/69565/antirrhinum-majus/details) gives this as general species guidance, rather than cultivar-specific production instructions.
## Maintenance
Remove spent spikes to encourage further flowering. The RHS recommends deadheading for longer flowering in snapdragons. The catalog dimensions are production-series guidance; mature garden size may vary with conditions.
