Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Dow Whiting', known as Soft Serve®, is a compact, conical evergreen conifer that serves as an excellent alternative to Dwarf Alberta Spruce. It features graceful, soft, fern-like branches with foliage that is bright green on top and flecked with silver-blue on the underside. Reaching 6 to 10 feet tall, it is ideal for small privacy hedges, borders, or as a specimen in urban gardens. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil.
