Cocoa is a compact, determinate cherry tomato sold as an edible potted plant in the Kitchen Minis collection. It produces small, round, dark red to burgundy fruit with a sweet flavor; the grower lists a 6–8 inch mature size and a 70–84 day crop time. ## Growing conditions
Place the pot in a bright, sunny window or on a sunny patio. Use free-draining potting mix and give the plant room for its compact upright stems. PanAmerican Seed recommends relatively dry growing conditions for Cocoa, so let excess water drain and avoid keeping the mix constantly wet. ## Harvest and use
The round cherry tomatoes are suited to fresh eating and recipes. The grower lists fruits about one-half to one inch in diameter and a 4–6 inch pot size; harvest fruit as it colors fully, and bring outdoor pots inside before frost. ## Maintenance
Check pot moisture frequently, but let the mix dry somewhat between waterings. Insert a small support near the central stem when flowering begins to help carry fruit weight, as advised by the grower. Remove dead foliage and ripe fruit promptly so the compact plant remains tidy. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/191209990046746/edible-potted-tomato-cocoa/)
