About Heirloom Marriage™ Big Brandy Tomato

Heirloom Marriage™ Big Brandy is an indeterminate beefsteak tomato with large, ribbed pink fruit and a rich flavor. PanAmerican Seed lists 12–15 ounce fruit and a 75–80 day maturity window; the official plant profile gives a 5–7 foot height and 3–4 foot spread. [PanAmerican Seed product page](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/062006567031228/tomato-heirloom-marriage-big-brandy/) [NC State Extension tomato profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/solanum-lycopersicum/common-name/tomato/) ## Fruit and growth The breeder describes Big Brandy as a cross of Big Dwarf and Brandywine, combining heirloom flavor with hybrid vigor. The plant grows upright but continues producing along an indeterminate vine. The pink, ribbed beefsteaks are suited to slicing and fresh meals. ## Growing conditions Choose a sunny, well-drained bed with moist, loamy, slightly acidic soil. PanAmerican recommends in-ground growing and reports the listed mature range; NC State advises steady watering and avoiding excess nitrogen, which can encourage foliage at the expense of fruit. ## Maintenance Plant after frost danger has passed and provide a cage, stake, or trellis before the vine becomes heavy. Water deeply and evenly during fruit development, keep foliage as dry as practical, and harvest ripe tomatoes as they develop.
