Micro-Tom is a dwarf, determinate, bushy tomato cultivar and one of the smallest tomato selections. It grows up to 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) tall and produces many round, deep-red fruits about 1.5 cm wide; [NParks](https://www.nparks.gov.sg/florafaunaweb/flora/8/4/8412) reports that about 25 fruits may develop at once and that fruiting begins 50–60 days after sowing.
## Garden use
Grow this compact edible tomato in a container or small garden space. Its ripe fruits can be eaten fresh, including in salads.
## Growing conditions
Provide full sun, at least four to six hours of direct light, and moderate to ample water. NParks lists well-drained, fertile loamy soil and a fast growth rate.
## Maintenance
Check leaf undersides regularly for aphids, whiteflies and red spider mites. Avoid over-fertilizing, which can encourage aphids, and use crop rotation where root-knot nematodes are a concern. Harvest the round fruits as they ripen.
