Create design onlineAbout Siam Edible Potted Tomato
Siam is a compact, determinate cherry tomato bred for edible potted displays on a windowsill or patio. PanAmerican Seed describes its small, round, bright-red fruit as sweet and productive, with maturity about 70–84 days after transplanting. ## Form and crop
The upright plant produces fruit in handfuls over several weeks. Its listed mature size is about 7–9 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide, making it suitable for a small pot with adequate drainage. Yellow tomato flowers precede the edible berries.
## Growing conditions
Set the pot in full sun and use a fertile, well-drained growing medium. Tomatoes prefer loamy soil with regular moisture, but PanAmerican Seed recommends growing Kitchen Minis plants on the dry side and supporting fruit weight with a small stick near the stem when flowering. ## Maintenance
Water when the medium begins to dry and let excess drain away. Keep the plant in bright light, turn indoor pots occasionally, and harvest ripe fruit promptly for fresh eating and recipes.
