Create design onlineAbout Sugar Rush Tomato
Sugar Rush is an indeterminate F1 cherry tomato with upright growth and elongated red fruit. PanAmerican Seed lists 50–55 days to maturity from transplant and describes very productive all-season trusses of sweet fruit ([PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/products/062000001032976/tomato-sugar-rush/)).
## Fruit and harvest
The small-fruited tomatoes measure about three-quarters to one-and-a-quarter inches long and half to one inch wide. The breeder notes a high Brix rating for this fruit type and recommends in-ground production. The published mature height range is 60–84 inches and the spread is 36–48 inches.
## Growing conditions
Plant in sun and allow room for an indeterminate vine. PanAmerican Seed classifies Sugar Rush as a cherry tomato in its vegetable range. Kew identifies the species as Solanum lycopersicum in Solanaceae ([Kew Science](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:316947-2/general-information)).
## Maintenance
Keep plants accessible for repeated picking during the growing season. Follow the in-ground recommendation and allow the long fruit trusses room to develop; harvest the red tomatoes as they mature.
