Solenia Apricot Rieger Begonia

Solenia Apricot is a compact Rieger begonia in the Solenia series, selected for apricot-orange double flowers and green foliage. Its rounded growth and 8–12-inch scale suit patio containers, window boxes, and seasonal borders. ## Landscape use Use the mounded plant as a container filler or near the front of a seasonal border. The [Proven Winners cultivar profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/p/11336) lists it for containers and describes its compact habit. ## Size, light, and season The breeder lists a height and width of 8–12 inches, Part Sun to Sun exposure, and USDA zones 9a–11b. It is grown as an annual in most regions and flowers in spring and summer, continuing until frost under suitable conditions. ## Maintenance Keep the root area evenly moist in a free-draining medium. Deadheading is not required for continued flowering. Protect the plant from frost, or grow it as a seasonal annual where winters are colder than its listed range.
