About Kong® Salmon Pink Coleus, Premium Shade

Kong® Salmon Pink is a foliage coleus with very large, patterned leaves in salmon-pink tones. It grows in a mounded, upright form to about 18–20 inches tall and 15–18 inches wide; it performs in shade or partial sun and prefers full shade for best performance. ## Placement Place it in a large container, mixed planting, or shaded landscape bed, allowing room for the broad leaves. PanAmerican Seed identifies the selection by code SAKCOL017 and lists 15–24 inches of spacing. Its [cultivar page](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/018003855004869/coleus-premium-shade-kong-salmon-pink/) gives the exact selection and protection information, US PVP200900035. The [PanAmerican grower guide](https://www.panamseed.com/utility/CultureSheetPDF.aspx?pagename=culture.aspx&txtphid=202303855&type=Ann) notes that foliage can look dark bronze in very low light and develops salmon-pink color later in the season and in summer landscapes. ## Growing care Ball Seed rates water needs as medium and lists heat tolerance and low maintenance. Water early enough for foliage to dry by nightfall, as the grower guide recommends. Avoid pinching when large leaves are desired. ## Maintenance
