Create design onlineAbout Wizard® Mosaic Coleus
Wizard® Mosaic is a compact, mounded coleus with patterned foliage in green, burgundy red, and cream. PanAmerican Seed calls it the earliest selection in the Wizard series and lists a height of 12–14 inches and a width of 10–12 inches.
## Foliage and placement
Use the contrasting leaf pattern in mixed containers, planters, baskets, or landscape beds. It works in shade or partial sun; the breeder describes the Wizard series as shade tolerant and heat tolerant. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/018001649010575/coleus-wizard-mosaic/) confirms the Mosaic selection and its early position in the series, while [Moles Seeds](https://www.wholesale.molesseeds.co.uk/annuals/c/coleus/wizard-series/coleus-wizard-mosaic-col00) describes the green leaves with burgundy-red and cream markings.
## Soil and water
Grow in well-drained soil with organic matter. The University of Minnesota Extension recommends pH 6–7 for coleus, and the breeder lists medium water. Keep beds evenly moist, watering when the top inch or two dries; containers need more frequent checks.
## Seasonal interest
PanAmerican Seed lists blooms from late spring through autumn. The patterned foliage is the main garden display, and coleus is cold-sensitive in frost-prone climates.
## Maintenance
Remove flower stalks if you prefer to keep attention on the leaves. Pinching stem tips can encourage a fuller outline.
