Wizard® Select Mixture Coleus

Wizard® Select Mixture is a compact, mounded coleus blend grown for varied foliage patterns. PanAmerican Seed identifies the blend as Coral Sunrise, Jade, Mosaic, Scarlet, Sunset, and Velvet Red, and lists 12–14 inches tall by 10–12 inches wide. ## Foliage and placement Individual leaf patterns and colors vary among the included selections. Use this mix for mixed containers, planters, baskets, or landscape beds in shade or partial sun. [PanAmerican Seed](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/018001649002927/coleus-wizard-select-mixture/) lists the components and culture dimensions; [Swallowtail Garden Seeds](https://www.swallowtailgardenseeds.com/annuals/coleus/wizard-select-mixture-coleus-seeds.html) also identifies the six-color blend. ## Soil and water Plant in well-drained, organic-rich soil. The University of Minnesota Extension recommends pH 6–7 for coleus, and the breeder lists medium water. Keep beds evenly moist, watering when the top inch or two dries; containers need more frequent checks. Coleus is cold-sensitive, so wait until temperatures are warm before planting outdoors. ## Seasonal interest The breeder lists blooms from late spring through autumn. The assortment is valued mainly for foliage, and its blend can add color variation among nearby plants. ## Maintenance Remove flower stalks if you want to keep foliage as the main display. Pinch stem tips if the plants become lanky or you want a bushier shape.
