Summer Wave® Large Blue Wishbone Flower

Summer Wave® Large Blue is a trailing Torenia hybrid with vivid blue flowers and well-branched stems. It stays about 8–10 inches high, spreads roughly 10–12 inches in the garden and can trail much farther from a basket. [Proven Winners](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/torenia/summer-wave-trailing-large-blue-wishbone-flower-torenia) lists blue flowers from spring through summer and describes sun-or-shade exposure; [Ball FloraPlant](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=062101452000686) confirms the ‘Sunrenilabu’ selection and its cascading habit. ## Site and flowers Use it along the edge of a hanging basket, window box or mixed container, or as a low flowering accent in a filtered-light bed. The blue blooms provide color through the warm season, and the flexible stems soften hard container edges. It is listed for USDA zones 10–11 and is usually grown as an annual outside warm climates. ## Maintenance Water regularly, especially in containers, and feed pots during active growth. The flowers are self-cleaning, so deadheading is not needed. Leave room for trailing stems and trim only when they extend beyond the desired outline.
