Summer Wave® Large Violet Wishbone Flower

Summer Wave® Large Violet is a trailing Torenia hybrid with violet flowers that bloom through the warm season. Its garden profile is compact—about 8–10 inches high and 10–12 inches wide—while stems can trail beyond the container. [Proven Winners](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/torenia/summer-wave-trailing-large-violet-wishbone-flower-torenia) describes the violet flower color, spring-to-summer season and sun-or-shade exposure; [Ball FloraPlant](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=062101452011523) identifies the selection as ‘Sunrenilamu’ and confirms its basket-worthy trailing habit. ## Site and flowers Place it at a basket rim, in a window box or near the front of a filtered-light bed. The flowers add strong color through summer and suit combinations where a cascading annual can contrast with upright foliage plants. This selection is listed for USDA zones 10–11 and is commonly grown as an annual in colder regions. ## Maintenance Water regularly and feed containers during active growth. Its flowers are self-cleaning, so deadheading is unnecessary. Allow space for the stems to spill over the edge, and trim lightly if they reach a path or neighboring plants.
