Summerific® Cherry Choco Latte™ Rose Mallow

Cherry Choco Latte is a compact, clumping hardy hibiscus selected for large, near-white flowers with deep pink veins and a red eye. Its mature size is about 4 feet high by 4 feet wide, and it is listed for USDA Zones 4–9. ([Walters Gardens product profile](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HIBCL)) ## Landscape Use Use it as a specimen or focal point in a border, cottage garden, rain garden or bog edge. The large flowers and strong veining stand out in midsummer and late summer, while the olive-to-near-black foliage has bronze highlights; the breeder notes that the compact clump suits tighter spaces. ([Walters Gardens product profile](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HIBCL)) ## Site and Seasonal Interest Provide full sun or part shade. The breeder lists average-to-consistent water needs, acidic soil, and a broad soil-quality range from poor to fertile. This hardy North American perennial attracts bees and butterflies and is listed as deer resistant. ([Walters Gardens product profile](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HIBCL)) ## Maintenance Keep moisture consistent through active growth. Hibiscus can emerge later than many perennials in spring, so allow time for new shoots before clearing the planting. The breeder lists mid- and late-summer bloom and a mature height and spread of about four feet each. ([Walters Gardens product profile](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HIBCL))
