## Flowers and mature size
Firefinch reaches 12–16 inches tall and 16–18 inches wide, keeping the plant low enough for the front of a bed or a compact container. Green foliage forms a compact base beneath the flowers. This selection is hardy in USDA zones 4–8 and grows in part sun to full sun.
## Garden uses
Place it in borders, containers, cut flower beds, or mass plantings where its shorter stature will stay visible. The flowers attract bees and butterflies; stems can also be used in fresh or dried arrangements. Proven Winners lists average water and a need for good drainage.
## Maintenance
Grow in well-drained soil, with full sun for the strongest flowering; light shade is tolerated. Water through establishment, then adjust to rainfall and soil moisture. The breeder describes Firefinch as drought tolerant once established, deer resistant, and easy to maintain.
