Sunjoy® Tangelo™ is a Japanese barberry with orange leaves edged in chartreuse. Spring Meadow identifies the selected cultivar as ‘O’Byrne’ (USPP 26,546) and describes its vigorous shrub form and seasonal foliage color. ## Garden Use Use this medium-sized shrub in a mixed border, foundation planting, or hedge where its colorful foliage can stand out. The breeder lists a mature height and spread of 3–4 feet, full sun, and USDA zones 4–8. ## Light and Seasonal Color Full sun supports strong foliage color, and well-drained soil is preferred. Spring Meadow reports that established plants tolerate dry conditions. Color and margin contrast may shift with season and growing conditions. ## Mature Size Allow roughly 3–4 feet in height and spread.
