Create design onlineAbout Superbells® Magic Pink Lemonade Calibrachoa
Superbells Magic® Pink Lemonade is a compact annual calibrachoa whose large flowers open lemon yellow and gradually become pink, so both colors appear together on the plant. Its mounding, gently trailing habit fits mixed containers, window boxes and hanging baskets, where stems can spill over the rim. The breeder lists a mature height of 6–12 inches and spread of 12–24 inches, with flowers from spring through fall in USDA zones 9–11; elsewhere it is generally grown as a warm-season annual.
## Growing conditions
Give it part sun to full sun and a free-draining container mix. Calibrachoa roots are sensitive to persistently wet soil; let the surface begin to dry between waterings without allowing severe wilting. The [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/calibrachoa) likewise recommends sun, acidic well-drained growing media and regular feeding for container-grown plants. Avoid planting in compacted or waterlogged ground.
## Seasonal care
The [Proven Winners cultivar profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/calibrachoa/superbells-magic-pink-lemonade-calibrachoa) notes that flowering continues without deadheading. Feed container plants regularly according to product directions, and trim overly long stems lightly in midsummer if growth becomes uneven; avoid removing more than a small portion at once. Treat zone ratings as winter-hardiness guidance, not a promise of perennial performance in colder climates.
## Maintenance
Keep the mix evenly moist but well drained, provide routine container feeding, and remove damaged growth as needed. Replace after frost where calibrachoa is not winter-hardy.
