About Superbells® Pink Calibrachoa

Superbells® Pink is a compact calibrachoa with rich pink flowers and dark green foliage. Its mounding, trailing growth suits hanging baskets, window boxes and containers, where stems can cascade while the center stays leafy. The breeder lists a 6–12 inch height, a 12–24 inch spread and flowering from spring through fall in USDA zones 9–11. ## Growing conditions Place it in part sun to full sun and use a free-draining potting mix. Calibrachoa roots are sensitive to persistently wet soil; allow the surface to begin drying between waterings without letting the plant wilt severely. The [University of Minnesota Extension](https://extension.umn.edu/garden-and-home/yard-and-garden/gardening-in-minnesota/calibrachoa) recommends sunny exposure, acidic well-drained media and regular feeding for container-grown plants. Garden beds should drain freely. ## Flowering and use The [Proven Winners profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/calibrachoa/superbells-pink-ii-calibrachoa) identifies the selection as Superbells Pink II, cultivar code WNCALSBPK24, and lists pink flowers, a spilling habit and bloom from spring to fall. The profile gives a USDA hardiness range of 9–11; in colder climates, grow it as a warm-season annual. The same page lists U.S. plant patent 36,624 and Canadian PBRAF wording, without making a claim about current legal status. ## Maintenance Water when the mix begins to dry and feed container plants regularly according to label directions. Trim only the longest stems lightly in midsummer if growth becomes uneven; routine deadheading is unnecessary. Replace after frost where calibrachoa is not winter-hardy.
