About Superbells® Tropical Sunrise Calibrachoa

Superbells® Tropical Sunrise is a cascading Calibrachoa with bicolor flowers that shift among pink, coral, and yellow. Proven Winners reports a height of 6–12 inches, spread of 12–24 inches, and stems trailing up to 18 inches; the cultivar suits baskets and containers ([Proven Winners](https://c5.provenwinners.com/plants/calibrachoa/superbells-tropical-sunrise-calibrachoa)). ## Placement and growing conditions Use it in part sun to full sun in a basket, window box, patio planter, or raised bed with good drainage. Average moisture and free-draining soil help prevent root problems. The shifting bicolor pattern adds variation to mixed containers. ## Flowering Flowers show variable streaks of yellow and pinkish-red. The breeder notes flowering from planting to hard frost and identifies the cultivar as heat tolerant. ## Maintenance Calibrachoa is best in a well-drained container mix in part sun to full sun. Keep moisture even but allow the mix to dry slightly between waterings; feed regularly through flowering and trim long stems around midsummer if needed. Routine deadheading is not required. These tender perennials are usually grown as annuals where frost occurs. ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/calibrachoa-x-hybrida/)).
