About Superbells® White Calibrachoa

Superbells® White is a flowering Calibrachoa selected for a long display of white blooms and cascading growth. Proven Winners recommends it for containers, where its stems can spill over basket and planter edges. The cultivar is typically grown as a warm-season annual. ## Form and season Proven Winners describes this cultivar as mounding and trailing, with flowering from spring through fall and a mature range of 6–12 inches tall by 12–24 inches wide ([cultivar profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/calibrachoa/superbells-white-iii-calibrachoa)). Its flowers continue from planting until hard frost under suitable conditions. The compact height and broader spread make it useful at the edge of mixed containers and hanging baskets. The breeder lists white blooms without a colored eye for this selection. The [official variety list](https://www.provenwinners.com/sites/provenwinners.com/files/pdf/2024-25_proven_winners_protected_plant_varieties.pdf) records U.S. Plant Patent 30,200 for cultivar Balcal14141. ## Siting and care Grow in full sun to part sun. Calibrachoa roots are sensitive to constantly wet soil, so a free-draining container mix makes moisture easier to manage. Water when the surface begins to dry, but do not let the plant wilt severely. Feed regularly through the growing season; check the breeder’s guidance for application rates and timing. In a garden bed, use only a well-drained site. ## Maintenance Spent flowers do not need routine deadheading. Trim the longest stems around midsummer if the plant becomes uneven, removing no more than about one fifth at a time, then resume regular feeding to encourage fresh growth. Remove damaged material and keep containers draining freely.
