About Superbells® Yellow IV Calibrachoa

Superbells® Yellow IV is a compact, mounding-trailing calibrachoa with bright yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers. This warm-season annual is suited to sunny containers, window boxes, and basket edges, where its trailing stems can spill over the rim and its long flowering season adds color through frost. ## Form and placement The [Proven Winners cultivar profile](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/calibrachoa/superbells-yellow-iv-calibrachoa) identifies the selection as ‘WNCALSBYEL23’ and lists it as 6–12 inches tall, with a 12–24-inch spread and trailing stems up to 24 inches. It describes bright yellow flowers, a mounding-trailing habit, and flowering from planting until hard frost. Use it near the edge of a mixed container or in a hanging basket; the compact flowering mound also works along a sunny border where drainage is reliable. ## Growing conditions Give plants full sun to part sun and a well-drained, slightly acidic growing medium. Calibrachoa roots are sensitive to waterlogged soil and extreme pH, so containers can make moisture easier to manage. Water when the surface begins to dry, then allow excess water to drain. The breeder lists USDA zones 9–11; elsewhere it is generally grown as a seasonal annual. ## Maintenance Deadheading is not needed for continued flowering. Feed regularly according to the product label, and in midsummer trim only the longest stems if the plant becomes uneven; follow pruning with routine feeding. Avoid keeping the root zone constantly wet.
