SuperCal® Petchoa

SuperCal® is a generic vegetative petchoa series combining Petunia and Calibrachoa traits; this record represents the series rather than a single color variety. Sakata lists the series as an annual bedding plant and gives broad series dimensions of 14–28 inches tall and 14–32 inches wide. ## Garden Use The range covers multiple forms, so individual plants may vary in size and flower color. Sakata describes SuperCal as an all-weather series with large, vibrant flowers, tolerance of cold, heat, and heavy rain, and self-cleaning blooms that do not require deadheading. Use the profile for a general series overview and consult the matching color-variety page when selecting a particular plant. ## Maintenance For a sunny garden site with moist, well-drained soil, follow general petunia culture guidance from Illinois Extension. Avoid heavy soils, which may reduce flowering, and use containers large enough for the series’ stated width. Self-cleaning flowers reduce routine deadheading, while regular checks of container moisture help maintain steady growth through warm weather.
